As some of you have already heard... i have resigned from Anthropic today. I believe in the future of humanity, and leadership is gambling that future to make a profit. People should label food in the break room fridge... otherwise a reasonable person is going to assume it's for everybody. Open Ai is also moving towards a similar policy. But if we think about it logically, people bring in donuts and pizza and thats for everybody. So the lack of empathy from leadership on this really concerns me. In the coming weeks you may hear, I was summarily dismissed over some missing tuna fish sandwiches. I want to get out there and set the record straight. I resigned. Also, it was roast beef. And I think that matters. There are zero guardrails in place. Smarter people than me have insisted that we establish countermeasures, perhaps even a different refrigerator for people who don't wanna share. They have been ignoring us for about a year and a half now. I don't like to speculate, but I do believe the government has been funding it.
