Excellent to see Joy Morrissey MP appointed Shadow Minister for Women and Equalities. A fantastic advocate for women in our Party and beyond, Joy brings huge energy, experience and commitment. Congratulations, Joy! 💙#cwo #conservatives
It is a privilege to be asked by @kemibadenoch to join the Shadow Cabinet as Shadow Minister for Women and Equalities. I will hold Labour to account to protect women and girls and make sure when we leave the ECHR we have equality laws that work for the British people.

A huge thank you to Mims Davies MP who as Shadow Minister for Women has been a tremendous friend and supporter of the #CWO, always generous with her time, encouragement and enthusiasm for helping women get involved in politics and public life. Thank you, Mims! 💙
CONTINUING: @MimsDavies remains Shadow Welsh Secretary. An experienced campaigner and former Minister, Mims will champion Welsh communities and ensure Wales has a strong voice around the Shadow Cabinet table.

Today, on Emmeline Pankhurst Day, members of the Conservative Women’s Organisation were honoured to lay a wreath at the Emmeline Pankhurst Memorial in Westminster. Delighted to be joined by Helen Pankhurst, numerous Conservative MP’s and the Conservative Party Chairman. We remember the courage, determination and sacrifice of Emmeline Pankhurst and the suffragettes, whose tireless campaigning helped secure women’s right to vote and changed our democracy forever. Their legacy continues to inspire women in public life and reminds us that progress is achieved through conviction, service and perseverance. #EmmelinePankhurstDay #CWO #WomenInPolitics #Suffragettes

Delighted to speak at @cwowomen National AGM. I do believe, leadership is not about being the loudest voice in the room. It’s about being the voice that changes the room. Powerfully illustrated by @KemiBadenoch 💙 @Conservatives @HelenGrantMP @LondonCWO @CWOEastern

“Britain does not lack talent — it lacks a system that draws that talent into public life.” — Kemi Badenoch At CWO, we know that talent is everywhere. It’s in women running businesses, balancing family life, volunteering in their communities, leading at work, supporting local causes and quietly getting things done every day. Too often, women look at politics and think: that world isn’t for me. But public life needs more women with real experience, practical judgement and the confidence to step forward. We need women with courage. Women with conviction. Women who care about making things better. Whether that means campaigning, standing for office, shaping policy or supporting others to succeed - there is a place for you. If you’ve ever wondered whether you could make a difference, perhaps this is your moment. CWO exists to support, encourage and champion women to step into public life - because Britain needs your talent now more than ever. Make that first step - get in touch... conservativewomen.uk conservatives.com/become-a-c…

Serving in elected office is an honour and can be incredibly fulfilling. But the only way you will never serve in such a role is if you don't apply in the first place. So, what are you waiting for? Help shape the future and become a Conservative candidate: conservatives.com/become-a-c…
Incredibly, 90% of the new Labour MPs at the last election came from a trade union, charity or public-sector background. Barely 1/5th of the Cabinet has any private-sector experience. In the Shadow Cabinet, 3/4 of us do. That distinction matters. The skills Labour MPs have acquired are in lobbying for more funding, campaigning for more benefits or more red tape. Britain needs a new generation of politician. Only the Conservative Party can build a team for the economic war effort required after Burnham/Starmer have finished this catastrophic experiment. We will need to fix every aspect of our system at once. There will be no kicking decisions into the long grass, only rolling our sleeves up and getting to work. If you've ever thought about a career in politics but decided it was too risky or you wouldn’t fit in, now is your time.…We are looking for people from every walk of life who know how to get stuff done. In return, I will make politics work for you. Britain does not lack talent. It lacks a system that draws that talent into public life. Join my team and help us get Britain working again. In one of the toughest political environments Conservatives have faced in years, I’m incredibly proud to have led a campaign in Milton Keynes that grew our @Conservative Group from 9 councillors to 12 and gained 3 seats. Milton Keynes, is often seen as difficult territory for Conservatives. And this campaign was built on long-term planning, community engagement, strong local candidates, digital campaigning and listening carefully to residents long before election season began. None of this happens alone. I’m hugely grateful to every candidate, volunteer and supporter who gave their time, energy and belief to our campaign. We might have been short on resources. But never short on determination, resilience or hope. 💙 @MKConservatives 💪 #LocalElection2026 @CWOSouthEast @Women2Win @CCACllrs @ConsrvTogethr @cwowomen
