This weekend, we will welcome more than 50 young competitors to Stampede Park for 4-H Rodeo! A showcase of youth talent, participants will have the opportunity to develop their skills and build confidence through a series of clinics led by industry experts and pro rodeo athletes, with a competition portion that will allow them to put their newly refined techniques into action. 4-H Rodeo is one of many ways youth can connect with agriculture and build lifelong skills on Stampede Park. GIVING BACK – Sarah has been a Stampede volunteer since 2023 and is a familiar member of the Stampede family as the 2023 Calgary Stampede Princess. “My reign as the 2023 Stampede Princess provided experiences and opportunities that helped me grow in ways I never could have imagined. Since then, I've gained an incredible new community within the Queens’ Alumni Committee. I hope to keep giving back by sharing Western hospitality and spirit through my volunteerism. Ever dreamed of riding with the Calgary Stampede Showriders? Since 1985, this talented team of young equestrians has brought their Western flair, horsemanship and performance to parades, rodeos and events across Alberta and beyond. Now, the Showriders are looking for the next generation of riders to join the team for the 2027 season. Auditions take place October 17 and 18 in Strathmore, Alberta.
