I have seen a lot of talk about switching from the 4-2-3-1, but it's just the way we are playing it that is the issue, especially in possession.
Because the wingers are high and wide, and the ten is essentially playing alongside the striker, there are no real options to build any sort of control.
Now, that might just not be how Jaissle wants to play, and he's a young manager in the Premier League for the first time, so he'll make mistakes, I just hope he slightly tweaks the 4-2-3-1 to move one of the wingers inside or drop the ten in a bit deeper.
Plenty of teams play a 4-2-3-1, it is just about how you implement it, and I am sure the manager can see where we are going wrong so far and rectify it without totally abandoning a shape that suits a lot of our players.
