✨ FIP-30: 2025–2026 Retroactive Development Rewards Announced
Following community nominations, project review, and evidence verification, we are announcing three award recipients, with a total of 6,000 FB in retroactive development rewards.
🔸 PrimeTriad @PrimeTriad — 2,000 FB
PrimeTriad contributes self-hosted mining and index mining staking infrastructure, including a mining pool, on-chain payouts, and support for home mining devices. Its work expands the infrastructure options available to miners and stakers, supporting more accessible participation in the Fractal network.
🔸 UTXO Pizza @utxo_pizza — 2,000 FB
UTXO Pizza’s Fractal Stake Dashboard brings together staking, indexer, proof, and reward data, improving transparency and helping participants understand network activity and their staking positions. Its community maintenance and extensions to the Bitcoin Asset Timelock Tool also add practical asset-management capabilities for Bitcoin and Fractal users.
🔸 Fractal Arena @Arthefacte — 2,000 FB
Fractal Arena is a browser-based 3v3 idle combat game combining team strategy, character progression, and Fractal-native assets, with interfaces for AI Agent interaction. Its contribution broadens the ecosystem’s consumer-facing applications and provides a working example of how developers can build interactive experiences that connect gameplay with Fractal assets and on-chain activity.
Rewards will be distributed as one-time FB payments after recipient information and payment details are confirmed.

Throughout 2025 and 2026, builders on Fractal have independently shipped tools, products, and infrastructure that are actively used by the community. FIP-30 (Fractal 2025–2026 Retroactive Development Rewards) proposes a rewards framework for recognising these developments.
The aim is to identify completed Fractal ecosystem contributions that have already made a real contribution to Fractal and is of practical value to users, with a focus on verifiable results. We also hope this encourages more developers to build useful products and tools that solve real needs across the Fractal ecosystem.

The first month of UniSat's five-month FB buyback plan is complete, with a total of 541,944 FB acquired for 200,000 USDT in September.
As Fractal moves forward following its first halving, FB acquired through buyback program is intended for long-term Index Mining & Staking — connecting the buyback plan with continued participation in Fractal ecosystem.

A quick update on the FB buyback we shared earlier.
On September 30, we completed the remaining 150,000 USDT of September’s planned 200,000 USDT buyback, acquiring a total of 388,098 FB.
With this, the first month of the buyback program was fully completed last week.

🔍 FIP-30 Update: Moving from Community Nominations to Project Review
The 7-day community nomination and feedback period has now closed. Thank you to everyone who shared feedback and nominated projects to help us recognize Fractal's builders.
Over the next two weeks, we will review community submissions, verify supporting evidence, and reach out to project teams to confirm their contributions, project ownership, and prior funding. Based on this review, we will determine award recipients, reward amounts, and forms of support under the FIP-30 framework.
Once the review is complete, we will publicly announce the results, highlighting each recipient's contributions and the reasons for recognition. FB rewards will be distributed as one-time payments after the necessary recipient and payment details are confirmed.

Following a positive response from the community to FIP-30, we are moving forward with a 7-day nomination and feedback period.
To help start the discussion, we have prepared an initial candidate list highlighting projects that have created verifiable value for Fractal ecosystem. We welcome your feedback on these candidates and nominations for other contributing projects.

The first batch of UniSat's post-halving FB buyback is complete.
50,000 USDT was used to acquire 153,846 FB, completing 25% of this month’s planned $200,000 buyback.
The acquired FB will be used for Indexer staking and locked for more than 60 months. — turning the buyback into long-term participation in the Fractal network.

A quick update on FB buyback progress
As we shared in our earlier announcement, “Following the halving, UniSat plans to acquire USD 200,000 worth of FB from the open market each month for five consecutive months, for a total planned acquisition of USD 1,000,000.”
We’re happy to share that the first 25% of this month’s planned USD 200,000 buyback has now been completed.
For this first batch, 50,000 USDT was used to acquire 153,846 FB. The acquired FB has been transferred to the following address:

To make the breakdown clear:
• Monthly planned buyback: 200,000 USDT
• Completed in this batch: 50,000 USDT
• Progress for this month: 25%
• Total five-month plan: 1,000,000 USDT
Considering current market liquidity, we’ll continue with the remaining purchases gradually and in multiple batches, with the goal of executing the plan in a steady and responsible way.
The FB acquired through the buyback will be staked on indexing services and locked for more than 60 months.

Fractal's first halving is complete, and FIP-102 is now active. The work continues.
Next, we'll move forward with:
▶️ Moving the unused 1,500,000 FB from second-year Ecosystem Treasury to Fractal Vault
▶️ Burning the balance of second-year Ecosystem Treasury, FIP-101 legacy rewards and undistributed Public Testing rewards as previously announced.
▶️ Release of the FIP-30 proposal, which outlines the 2025–26 Retroactive Development Rewards, recognizing development contributions made to Fractal over the past two years.
▶️ Preparation of FIP-103, which will define the framework and implementation for native FB distribution on Bitcoin mainnet. We will actively involve the community during discussion stage.
▶️ Continue FIP-104, a community proposal exploring an opt-in path for miners to direct mining rewards into Index Mining stake under FIP-101.

⏳ Less than 6 days to Fractal's first halving!
We've spent the past few weeks discussing FIP-102. Now the activation at block 2,100,000 — currently expected around September 8–9 — is almost here.
Here's what will happen:
🔸 Fractal block rewards will fall from 25 to 6.25 FB.
🔸 A matching of 6.25 FB per Fractal block will be allocated for future Bitcoin-mainnet distribution, this is expected to take place in Q1 2027.
🔸 The existing 1:1:1 allocation across Merged Mining, Permissionless Mining, and Index Mining will remain unchanged.
🔸Total supply of FB will remain unchanged.

We know this change doesn't affect everyone in the same way.
For existing FB miners, indexers, and stakers, the short-term impact caused by the reduction in Fractal-side rewards is real. However, evolving the current distribution model is necessary for Fractal's long-term health — and for FB to reach more people beyond its existing distribution channels and realize its true value.
