We are working on plans to provide access to hot showers, as the timelines for restoration of normal temperature and steam pressure will vary across residence halls. There are no safety concerns with the water. Campus dining also continues to remain open with adjusted menus. More info: president.msu.edu/communicat…

The source of the power plant failure has been identified, and crews are diligently working to repair the issue. The power plant produces electricity and steam power for campus. Once the power plant comes back online, power is methodically restored to all buildings and campus facilities over a period of time. The university is optimistic that power will be restored by the morning.  msutoday.msu.edu/news/2026/0…
