Thoughts are with you, Zack
I'm devastated by this news, especially for his parents. Alex was one of my favorite people in sports.
He joined the Red Sox a few months after graduating, eager to make an impact. It was a pleasure to watch him grow, learn from his mistakes, and celebrate his successes. He was smart and creative, with a big heart and unmatched enthusiasm.
A few years ago, he walked away from the Red Sox and took on the uncertainty of being without a job so he could pursue a move to hockey. The Bruins were always the dream, and after two years of hard work proving he belonged, they took a chance on him. It was the happiest he'd been professionally in several years. It isn't fair that he only got two months to enjoy it.
I'm grateful to have been Alex's friend and mentor. He was a breath of fresh air in an otherwise cynical and stressful industry. I'll miss him. Sending love to his family and friends.
