Leaving your crypto on a centralized exchange means you’re trusting someone else to hold it for you. Exchanges can freeze withdrawals, get hacked, or fail.
For long-term storage, I prefer self-custody.

At 18:31 UTC on September 24, 2026, Bitget’s security systems identified unauthorized transfers involving a limited number of hot wallets.
Our security team immediately activated emergency response procedures and began a full investigation.
Based on our current assessment, approximately $351.6 million in assets were affected. Bitget’s cold wallets and the overwhelming majority of platform assets remain secure and unaffected.
Most importantly, user funds remain protected.
The incident falls within the coverage of Bitget’s User Protection Fund, which currently holds more than $464 million.
Customer account balances remain accurate, and deposits and trading continue to operate normally.
As a precaution, withdrawals have been temporarily suspended while our teams complete a comprehensive security review.
We have identified and flagged the relevant transfer addresses and have formally engaged law enforcement agencies and leading on-chain security partners.
We are working around the clock to restore withdrawal services as soon as it is safe to do so.
Bitget will provide further updates through our official channels.
We will not speculate on the attack vector while the investigation remains ongoing. Our focus is on protecting users, securing all systems, and delivering complete transparency throughout this process.

@vladtenev, as our fearless leader in the $HOOD do you, @JohannKerbrat and the @RobinhoodCrypto team have any plans, or ideas, to limit/control the number of projects launching with only malintent? We're seeing an increase of rug pools and malicious devs, drawing comparisons to what has plagued Solana for so long.
If there's a way to focus on GOOD projects with true, genuine intent or reward/recognize those who are working hard every day to build on @RobinhoodApp and form a community of like-minded people, I think that would help differentiate the $HOOD from Solana and every other chain. You and the Robinhood team are already changing the game but ensuring that the good people in the trenches are protected, or at least guarded to some extent, would help mitigate risk and prove that this is indeed the TOP chain for years to come.
Obviously not all project devs are doxxed, nor are willing to go through KYC audits but thorough investigation into the ones who have/are open to it, and recognizing them to some degree, could prove to be a power move that shows the crypto community that the $HOOD is taking this to the next level. Showcasing genuinely good projects for investors to focus on, while safe guarding the trenches from rugs as much as possible.
We LOVE this chain, look up to the innovative leadership, and simply just want to push forward confidently towards the future within this inspiring ecosystem. 🫂🟩🪶
