Generate all the getters and setters FTW! Wanna skip the clickety-click of the mouse? You can also add a key mapping like that in @code's keybindings.json:
{"key": "ctrl+alt+g",
"command": "editor.action.codeAction",
"args": {
"kind": "source.generate.accessors",
}}
'twas the week before Xmas, and #vscode-java 0.36.0 was released. And it was gorgeous! New standalone Java files UX, refactorings are now key-bindable, bulk accessors generation and more: github.com/redhat-developer/…youtube.com/watch?v=o4BTKD3i…
Treat yo self and update now (it's free)!
... and it's done. 10M cumulated installs since @GorkemErcan started this thing 2.5 years ago. Although to be fair, that's actually 1.6M actual installs + 8.4M updates. Big thank you to all the contributors and users, who've made this small project an alternative to the big 3. 🎉
Remember that time when you tried to rename a Java type in @code, but the underlying file was not renamed? That sucked! That's fake news now, with the brand new 0.35.0 release! And take a look-see at the other stuff too: github.com/redhat-developer/…
Enjoy your new refactoring powers!
- Knock! Knock!
- Who's there?
- vscode-java 0.34.0, bringing the new features such as "attach source" command, quick fixes from the problems view, as well as a bunch of bugfixes. Check out github.com/redhat-developer/…
- OK, how much?
- Nothing! Zero, Zilch, totally free!

Are you depending on vulnerable open source dependencies? You can easily find out with @rhdevelopers's Dependency Analytics extension for @code.

If you're using #Maven in your project(s), you'll definitely want to install our XML extension for @code. XSD completion/validation FTW.
See marketplace.visualstudio.com…
Have I mentioned it's free? No? Well, it is, as in speech and as in beer!
With @code's on-type formatting, the current line is formatted when typing `;` or `<enter>`, or last block with `}`.

It's enabled via "editor.formatOnType": true, and can be controlled specifically for Java with the "java.format.onType.enabled" setting.
Guess who has 8 fingers, a big red nose and now supports on-type formatting and annotation processing? 👉that guy👈

Now what are you waiting for? Go and update to vscode-java 0.25.0 (it's free)! github.com/redhat-developer/…
Woot! it only took 68 days to add one more million installs, to reach the 3M mark 🎉 I guess we must be doing something right ;-) Thanks again for your unwavering support!
Well, it took about one year for #vscode-java to reach the 1M milestone, but then 3 months later, here we are, 2M downloads!!! You did it! 🕺
We're really grateful for the continued support from our outstanding community of Java developers. Please keep it up!
