when i was in high school, i worked in a haunted house for charity with my then boyfriend and the whole premise of my role was to try and run out of a fake hallway but trip and fall onto my back where a zombie (my boyfriend) would drag me screaming back into the fake hallway while pretending to bite me.

MY ARGUMENT:
- Putting the month first lets me immediately understand where a date falls in the year and what season it belongs to
- People naturally think about dates in terms of the month first when making plans for the year
- Calendar apps are organized primarily by month and also physical calendars are also laid out month by month
AND FOR ALL Y'ALL BITCHES CITING THE 4TH OF JULY
- people have called the American Independence Day "the 4th of July" literally since the US was formed (so like around 250 years)
- it's a name of a singular fucking holiday. You don't hear mf calling Christmas "the 25th of December."
and tech bros, I understand that YYYY/MM/DD is the better format in terms of spreadsheets and shit like that. My argument is that MM/DD/YYYY is better than DD/MM/YYYY when it comes to every day life.
