The idea that China would agree to pause any of this ignores a decade+ of China pillaging American industries for technology, intellectual property, and competitive advantage. It’s even funnier when offensive cyber is part of the justification for a pause. China has happily used offensive cyber against the US and its companies for years. Why would anyone assume AI is where they suddenly agree to stop?
