We are delighted to be able to confirm that @Alex_Frost85 and Deane Smalley have agreed to take charge of the team for the first ever visit of @LancasterCityFC to the Vestacare Stadium on Wednesday evening. They will be assisted by Gianluca Havern and Matthew Leeming, as well as goalkeeping coach Lee Watmough and first team physio Becca Pitts who will be staying at Avro. Welcome back, Frosty and Deano!

We can confirm that Nick Simister, Andy Pheby and Dean Brathwaite have also left the club. We thank them for their hard work, and wish them the very best of luck with their future endeavours.

We will be accepting applications for the now vacant manager's role from 12pm tomorrow (Friday) until 9pm on Monday. Please send your application to robert.fuller@avrofc.co.uk. We aim to draw up a short list of the 2-3 best candidates, interview them and make an appointment as soon as is realistically possible after the deadline for applications has passed.

CLUB STATEMENT Avro Football Club can confirm that we have received an approach from a Conference North side for Grant Shenton and first team coach Mark Dickinson, and they have decided to accept the offer. Grant and Mark have done an amazing job in their time at the helm of the first team, and they depart with our very best wishes.

A disappointing night for our under 18s in Chorley, but a much better afternoon for our BTEC boys - well done, lads!

Good luck, lads - we have everything crossed for you!

First home game of the season for Isports Avro u19 . Good luck 🙏⚽️

Everyone at the club is hugely saddened to have learned today of the sudden passing of Courtney Meppen-Walter. He became a firm favourite with fans and team mates during his short time with us, and we send our sincere condolences to his family at this tragic time for them.

Following the FA Trophy first round draw this lunchtime, we now know that we will host @hydeunited on Saturday 24th October at the Vestacare Stadium.

Our players are able to travel in comfort to and from games, and look great while they are doing it, thanks to the support of two key apparel providers. Many thanks to Capo UK and By Prominence for supplying and sponsoring all the gear you see below!

Everyone at the club is hugely appreciative of the support that the first team have received from a wide range of businesses in these first two months of the season. However, there are a couple that we have not yet had the chance to thank. The first is @TheCryoLab, whose facilities have proved invaluable in ensuring that our players recuperate and recharge during what has been a relentless fixture schedule before last weekend. Look how much @benito_lowe98 ended up enjoying it after his initial concerns!

A Man of the Match performance yesterday from our number 9 to take us through to the 1st round of the FA Trophy! @Jacobholwill14 opened the scoring with his first goal in a competitive fixture for the Ro, and we did not have to wait long for his second! A superb all-round display from Jacob to help us overcome a tricky opponent in the north east. We will find out our next opponents tomorrow afternoon, but what we do know already is that our league game against @WhitbyTownFC will not now take place on Saturday October 24th. 📹@DunstonUTSFC
