With the end of the Mystics season, this officially ends the first true season of the District of Buckets coverage cycle. From local college and HS Women’s and Men’s hoops to covering my 1st March Madness + WNBA seasons in person, it’s been great sharing and I appreciate everyone along for the ride. Excited to begin another season as CBB and the NBA gears up and I can’t wait to see how things improve from here!

Anthony Davis wants out of Washington. The relationship is destined to implode. That's the prevailing NBA narrative. Except sources on both sides tell me there are no issues. Davis isn't interested in correcting the speculation, either. My latest ⬇️ lastmanstandig.substack.com/…

The Wizards tip off tomorrow, giving me one last chance to share an expansion to my favorite kind of piece to compile. I asked members of the team’s media pool about a few pressing questions entering the season, check out what your favorite creators think! si.com/nba/wizards/onsi/repo…

"That's why he's going to be special." I spent the last few weeks asking Wizards' veteran NBA stars about A.J. Dybantsa. Anthony Davis, Trae Young and Khris Middleton gave some interesting details. monumentalsportsnetwork.com/…

I don’t know if I’ve ever seen a player add a three ball to their game midseason like Angel Reese has.

When Trae Young first arrived in Washington, I asked him about his legacy. He told me he wanted to make the same impact on kids in D.C. that he had in Atlanta. His NBA Cares recognition today reflects his follow-through. 👏🏾👏🏾 #ForTheDistrict
“My legacy has probably nothing to do with basketball.” Trae Young told us he wants his impact to reach beyond the court. Today, that commitment earned him the NBA Cares Bob Lanier Community Assist Award offseason honor…his third career Community Assist Award. ⬇️ #NBA
