Modern Warfare 4 is almost here, and the work to protect fair play is already in motion on multiple fronts.
Recent enforcement updates helped Team RICOCHET issue more than 70,000 new hardware bans. Those hardware bans carry into launch.
We’re also continuing to take on devices that modify player input to create an unfair advantage. Roughly 5,000 accounts have already been banned for using these devices to cheat. Using Cronus Zen, XIM Matrix or similar tools to cheat is not allowed. Players who use these devices to cheat are subject to account and console bans.
Some of these products are marketed as accessibility tools. We judge them by what they do in a match, not by what they’re called or how they’re sold.
And our enforcement doesn’t stop with the player using the device.
Last year, we tracked down Cronus’ North American distributor to a hotel in Southeast Asia and served him with a cease-and-desist.

We’ve updated our Secure Attestation Wizard and troubleshooting guidance to help.
Our data shows that AMD 3.x.0.x is currently the most common issue appearing in attestation failure reports, while Lenovo users are reporting issues at higher rates than users of other manufacturers.
Our engineers are working directly with Microsoft and device manufacturers to identify fixes.
If you’re using a Lenovo device and can’t find the necessary BIOS update, Lenovo currently requires users to contact them directly. The update is not being made publicly available.
For other questions, our support page has the latest troubleshooting guidance, including the updated Secure Attestation Wizard and resources for contacting your manufacturer.
If you still receive a Failed Attestation Status after following those steps, submit your system information through our TPM report form.
The form does not create a support ticket, but the information helps #TeamRICOCHET identify remaining issues and improve the process for affected players.
