imagine when @DavidDeutschOxf’s ideas escape books and become mainstream culture one movie can reach hundreds of millions of people we could plant the seeds of an entire civilization’s future in people’s imaginations working on it every day

hollywood feels dead inside in a lot of ways we’re trying to push the limits of what comes after movies we want to make something that excites us, because no one is giving it to us, so we decided to create it ourselves we want something beyond movies a step into the future of an evolving medium

In November we will begin Revery’s first phase, starting with The Day I Met You. We have spent the past few months defining a new frontier production process and developing our proprietary technology. Now we are putting it into practice by producing our first 4D short film. This includes volumetrically capturing our actors using 200 cameras for each scene and designing photorealistic 3D environments in which we will integrate them. We will release a 2D version of the film for cinemas and phones, as well as a fully immersive and interactive experience. We will organize private screenings in a few cities, followed by Q&As with selected guests, where we will discuss the film, its technology, and more importantly, the ideas behind it. Exciting times!

the great thing about those utopian short films is that they show humanity a desirable future but they leave out what actually gets us there: a real philosophy of progress, and usually lack a compelling story everyone can relate to that’s what we’re focusing on

happy to share that after months of writing, the script is done we’re now entering production

telling stories about futures so compelling people start building them so the life of the son need not be the same as the life of the father

so many sci-fi movies to create so few people making them mimetic behavior is so strong that Silicon Valley attracts the most talented, creative minds telling stories is one of our best ways to prototype new futures for the next generation futures that are neither dystopian nor anti-technology and give us a glimpse into the beginning of infinity
