Today we have directly shipped ETH rewards to users who were unable to claim from the Core contract due to a contract exploit. As previously discussed the Core assets are safe and not at risk, but the caching contract has a permanent vulnerability so adding ETH to the rewards pool is not viable.
The ETH sent today covers all rewards earned at of the time of the original exploit. Users are free to cache or uncache cores as they wish, but rewards shown as earned will not be claimable. We will remove the front-end rewards tracker for Cores to prevent confusion.
Going forward cached Cores will still grant users +1 PRIME wins/day but they will not accrue royalties for sales of specific cards. A new caching contract would need to be created for this and royalty rewards are too low to justify it.
Please check your wallets to verify your ETH has been received.
Due to smart contract vulnerabilities in the caching contract for The Core NFT, we have paused emissions for The Core cachers while we figure out alternative ways of distribution.
The contract was originally audited by Quantstamp and while the current scenario is unfortunate, Echelon remains committed to ensuring cachers get their rewards in full.
