From innovative DEX upgrades and community airdrops to Web2 integrations and modular blockchains, DeFi is buzzing across the ecosystem. Check them out:
Hooked on Growth: Uniswap v4’s Summer Surge
Uniswap’s newest version v4 is proving its hype with explosive adoption. Launched earlier this year, v4 now handles over 20% of daily DEX trading volume, attracting more than 400,000 liquidity providers and 2,200+ “hooks” (plugin-like smart contracts) within months. These customizable hooks enable dynamic fees and pooled liquidity, fueling Uniswap’s rapid growth. In fact, v4 hit $40 B in swap volume in ~4 months, a milestone that took v3 over a year. With programmable liquidity catching on, Uniswap is solidifying its place as DeFi’s exchange juggernaut this summer.
Season Genesis: Chainlink Stakers Score SXT Airdrop
Chainlink is rewarding its community with a generous Space and Time (SXT) token airdrop through its Season Genesis program. A whopping 100 million SXT (15% of the token’s supply) was allocated to active LINK stakers, and nearly half of those tokens were claimed within weeks, a testament to stakers’ enthusiasm. The airdrop strengthens Chainlink’s ecosystem partnerships (Space and Time is a Chainlink oracle partner) and gives long-term LINK holders a new governance token. With 47% of eligible stakers grabbing ~60% of the available SXT already, Chainlink’s early supporters are reaping the benefits of their loyalty as they help secure oracle networks.
DeFi in Your DMs: TAC Bridges Ethereum to Telegram
The TON Application Chain (TAC) has officially launched its mainnet, bringing DeFi to Telegram’s doorstep. Now, over 1 billion Telegram users can seamlessly access Ethereum-based dApps inside the messenger — no extra wallets or bridges needed. Major protocols like Curve, Morpho, Euler, and ZeroLend went live on TAC from day one, backed by $800 M in pre-committed liquidity. This Cosmos-based L1 connects to TON, meaning users can swap, lend, and yield farm via simple chat interfaces. It’s a groundbreaking push to make DeFi “as simple as texting,” turning Telegram into a front-end for on-chain finance. With TAC’s launch, decentralized finance inches closer to mainstream adoption through apps people already use.
Solana Meets Ethereum: Eclipse Unveils $ES Token
Eclipse — a new Ethereum Layer-2 that uses Solana’s high-performance VM has gone live with its native token $ES. The project’s vision is to blend Solana’s speed with Ethereum’s security and liquidityeclipse.xyz, creating a modular blockchain for ultra-fast dApps. To decentralize ownership, Eclipse launched $ES with an airdrop: 15% of the 1 billion supply (100 M tokens) is being distributed to early users and supporters over 30 days. $ES will power the network (gas fees, governance, staking) as Eclipse aims to be the go-to chain for builders who want Solana-like throughput on Ethereum. Despite some post-launch token price volatility, Eclipse’s debut marks an ambitious effort to unite two major blockchain ecosystems under one protocol.
