TOMOLAND WALKTHROUGH | PART 1: How to create an avatar
Everything you need to know when making your own avatar
Tomoland is a UGC platform where you have the freedom of customization. You can design your own clothes using their list of templates, create your own hair & expressions, and even customize your own emotes & maps.
This first walkthrough will guide you on making your own avatar - either from scratch or buying from the marketplace

STARTING OUT
After downloading the platform, you will be asked to log in and choose your gender. Then you can start customizing your avatar by pressing the Edit Avatar button
NOTE: You need xTOMO points and Gems to be able to buy items to use for your avatar. You can buy gems through the shop and earn xTOMO coins by completing tasks in events
OFFICIAL
On the front page, there is a tab that says ‘OFFICIAL’. This refers to items that are not made by players. The assets are limited but still have a variety for you to choose from which you can buy using both Gems and xTOMO points
MARKETPLACE
In the marketplace tab, you can buy assets made by other players using gems. You can filter them using the genre tab above and pick which part you want to buy using the buttons on the left side. Assets in the marketplace can only be bought using Gems
CUSTOMIZATION - AVATAR STUDIO
If you don’t want to spend and just use your creativity skills, you can make your own through the avatar studio. In the avatar studio, there are templates of a variety of clothes for you to choose from. You can also choose to design a bag, expressions, and even do your own hair using their 3D model feature. I will be making a separate article focusing more on the avatar studio feature
