BeMisfits: The Full Story
What BeMisfits Is
BeMisfits is a hand-drawn PFP archive, a collection of crooked, cross-eyed, one-of-a-kind characters, each sketched by hand rather than generated. Nobody drew these to match. Nothing here was measured, and nothing here lines up, and that's the entire point of the collection.
The whole world was built out of leftover pencils and unfinished sketchbooks. Every misfit started as a doodle in the margin of something else: the back of a receipt, the last page of a notebook, a napkin nobody asked for. The eyes sit a little too wide. The hair goes the wrong direction. The colors don't match the outfit. That's not a mistake. That's the whole point. This is an archive for the drawings that didn't get erased.
Why We're Called "BeMisfits"
The name isn't a marketing angle bolted on after the fact. It's just an honest description of what's on the page.
Every character in this collection was drawn specifically to *not* fit a template. Wonky eyes that never sit level, always looking at something you can't see. Bad haircuts, self-inflicted and hand-inked, impossible to fix in post. Loud backgrounds: mustard, mauve, storm-blue, whatever color was left in the palette. One weird detail on every face: a cap that says something odd, a collar that doesn't sit right, on purpose, every time.
We drew crooked characters, and "BeMisfits" was the only name that didn't lie about it.
Trait Rarity
Every misfit is built from a mix of independently hand-drawn traits: background, hair, eyes, outfit, and headwear. Some combinations show up far more often than others, and a small number of true 1-of-1 misfits will be mixed into the full run of 3,333. Full trait breakdowns and rarity rankings go live alongside the collection reveal, so holders can see exactly what they minted.
Build Your Own Misfit
There's a customizer in the works where you'll be able to mix and match your own misfit: pick a background, hair, eyes, outfit, and headwear, watch it come together live, and download your own crooked little character. It's coming soon.
The Mint
The plan is simple: one flat price, no tiers, no funny business.
- Supply: 3,333
- Price: $3.3 per misfit
- Chain: Robinhood Chain
- Mint date: September 16, 3:00 PM UTC
$LUCY and Merch
Once mint wraps, holders get access to a merch table: keychains, magnets, and stickers made for wallet holders, purchasable with $LUCY.
What Holding a Misfit Gets You
- A spot in the holders-only Discord channels, where the community helps shape future characters, lore, and drops
- Priority access to the merch table via $LUCY, ahead of any public sale
- Priority access to future sketchbook pages and side collections
- A vote in community polls on what gets drawn and added next
- Free access to the BeMisfits Maker customizer once it launches
The Roadmap
Slow release, hand-drawn one at a time. No shortcuts, no auto-generation: every misfit is sketched before it's minted.
1. Sketchbook opens *(live)*. The first batch of misfits gets pinned to the corkboard: faces, outfits, and backgrounds drawn from scratch.
2. Full collection reveal *(next)*. All 3,333 faces pinned up at once. Some will match. Most won't.
3. Merch table opens *(later)*. Keychains, magnets, and stickers, holders-only, purchasable with $LUCY once mint wraps.
4. New pages, new misfits *(later)*. Extra sketchbook pages, side characters, and world scenes added after launch.
Built With the Community, Not Just For It
This isn't a project where the art gets handed down and everyone else just watches. Holders vote on which characters get added to the sketchbook next, weigh in on new lore and world details, and help steer where the merch table and $LUCY utility go from here. The corkboard is never finished, and the community has a say in what gets pinned to it next.
FAQ
Is there a mint limit per wallet?
Wallet limits will be confirmed ahead of mint on September 16.
What do I get when I mint?
The misfit itself in your wallet, a spot in the holders' Discord, and eligibility for merch, future drops, and community voting.
Will there ever be more than 3,333?
No. Supply is fixed at 3,333. No surprise reserve mints, no stealth additions later.
A Few Things We Want You to Know
There's a bit of confusion out there we'd like to clear up directly.
Same name, very different art. "BeMisfits" isn't a word we invented, and we're not the only project (NFT or otherwise) to have used something close to it. If you've come across other collections or communities called Misfits or something similar, that's fine, but it doesn't mean we're related. What matters is the art, and ours is its own thing from the ground up: every face is hand-sketched, not generated or templated by an algorithm, and the style (crooked eyes, self-inflicted haircuts, mismatched palettes, one odd detail per character) is a specific, deliberate visual identity built for this collection alone. Same word, different notebook entirely.
We have never launched on any blockchain. Not Ethereum, not Solana, not anywhere, at any point, past or present. Whitelist applications have closed, and mint is scheduled for September 16, 3:00 PM UTC on Robinhood Chain, but nothing has gone live yet. If anything claims a BeMisfits token or contract is already live and minting, it isn't us. Always double-check official links before connecting a wallet.
We are not affiliated with Sleepyheads. No partnership, no shared team, no official connection of any kind. What we will say is that Sleepyheads was an inspiration to us: seeing that project's approach to hand-drawn, character-driven collections is part of what pushed us to build our own sketchbook world with BeMisfits. Credit where it's due, but inspiration is where the connection starts and ends. BeMisfits is built and run independently, with our own art, our own lore, and our own team.
