Midad Digital Center officially opened today in its new form at Innovation Park Muscat, in an event organised by the Research and Innovation Authority. The center combines knowledge transfer, capability building and applied work in emerging digital technologies.

افتُتح رسميًا اليوم مركز مداد الرقمي بحلته الجديدة في مجمع الابتكار مسقط، ضمن فعالية نظمتها هيئة البحث العلمي والابتكار، مع تدشين هويته البصرية الجديدة. ويجمع المركز بين نقل المعرفة وبناء القدرات والتطبيقات العملية في التقنيات الرقمية والناشئة.

From climate challenges to solutions that can be tested and measured. Over Thursday and Friday, the Climate Changemakers Hackathon took place at Innovation Park Muscat through a strategic partnership between RIA and Qatar’s SDG Ambassadors Center. @RIA_OMAN @inno_ambass

The process did not end with building a prototype. Teams tested their solutions, identified improvements, selected indicators to measure change, and developed 30-day plans to take their ideas into their communities, measure results and keep improving them.

Participants from Oman, Qatar and the Kurdistan Region of Iraq worked on challenges including water, plastics, food waste, recycling, sustainable mobility and clean energy. Their ideas took shape through AI-enabled digital campaigns and educational games using 3D printing.

الفكرة لا تتوقف عند بناء النموذج. اختبرت الفرق حلولها، وحددت ما يحتاج إلى تحسين، ثم وضعت مؤشرات لقياس التغيير وخطة تمتد 30 يوماً بعد الهاكاثون فالقيمة الحقيقية تمتد إلى ما بعد أيام الهاكاثون، عندما تُجرّب الحلول في المجتمع، وتُقاس نتائجها، وتُطوّر بناءً على ما تكشفه التجربة.
