Linux usage marketshare is going to increase multiplefold. Most of those market share stats are based on the web browsing data as websites can see and collect the operating system information of the visitor. And that's why Linux marketshare is going to increase. The signs are already there. In the US, Linux market share crossed 17%. But don't take it as the success of the desktop Linux. Those increased numbers are coming from AI agents. AI agents and bots typically live in a Linux system. They create and run scripts to accomplish the tasks given to them and when they browse web during those tasks, they are counted as Linux users. This number will increase as more platforms offer AI agents. Meta's Muse AI is the latest example. As a Muse AI user, you are getting a dedicated Ubuntu computer in the cloud. Now imagine, if this AI company backed from Facebook gets a few (hundred) million users. All of those will be counted as Linux user. So, let's get ready to see an unprecedented increase for the Linux marketshare.
