Ride was the first song I wrote for this record. I made it in 2024 with my best friend @JackPenate and @KarmaKid2, who feature throughout the album. It was made specifically to be played at NYC Downlow at @glastonbury - which Gideon kindly allowed!

…we became converts and followed the tour across the US…learning the lyrics on Greyhound buses, writing them in my yellow Van Gogh moleskin…Madvillainly and Shuggie Otis on repeat through the south and back to Los Angeles… #mfdoom

…we found out that the album launch was that week in New York and somehow there were still tickets left…the show was anarchic and free…Madlib on drums and Doom simultaneously beautiful and menacing …I could have never understood the history I was witnessing… #mfdoom

…when I was a 20 I went with my best friend Joel to New York. We went to a legendary record shop Fat Beats in the lower east side. Madvillainy had come out that week so I bought the CD on the cover art and never forget my first listen… #mfdoom
