[ Help ] My family is in medical debt and it’s all my fault I was born with a cleft lip and cleft pallet. For those who don’t know that means I was born with an opening in those regions causing me having to go through multiple surgeries But there is more to the story than that My name is Tai Jones (Yes, I know full government name). I was born in China, and when I was three years old, I was adopted by a single mother who already had two children of her own My mom, brought me all the way from China to Shawnee, Oklahoma, giving me an opportunity at a life I otherwise might not have had But she didn’t stop there She went out of her way to find a craniofacial surgeon who could help me. Eventually, she found Dr. Fearon in the Dallas-Fort Worth area of Texas, which meant our family had to relocate once again so I could receive the care I needed Over the years, I’ve undergone multiple procedures and surgeries. While those procedures gave me opportunities to live a healthier life, they also came with a financial burden that our family is still dealing with today My mom has spent years working incredibly hard to chip away at that debt. Sometimes I genuinely think she’s crazy for how much she pushes herself. She works practically every day of the week, and I wish she didn’t feel the need to put that much pressure all on herself But when I look at the bigger picture, I realize just how selfless she’s been She was already raising two children on her own, yet she opened her home and her heart to another child from across the world. She took on responsibilities and challenges that she didn’t have to take on, all because she wanted to give me a chance at a better life That’s something I’ll never take for granted. I wish there was more I could do to take some of the weight off her shoulders. So, that’s why I’m asking for your guy’s help I started a go fund me. Any contribution, no matter how small, would mean so much to me and my family. If you’re unable to donate, even interacting/sharing would help us tremendously Maybe you guys can be her hero, as she is my hero

I see more and more young artists complaining about prices other artists are charging for things. As an older guy now who’s been a professional artists for decades let me just weigh in. First, the market and their audience decides prices, not other artists. When you whine about other artists you sound bitter. Not a good look. Second, if you’re constantly complaining about high art prices you’re essentially a participant in cultivating a culture that monetarily devalues art. Good luck making a living yourself with art in the future in the world you’re creating. Third, watch out for being a crab in the bucket. Always trying to pull down the ones above you trying to move up. If you know people like this in real life you know you hate being around them. Lastly, the internet thrives on negativity not goodness. Try and use it for good.
