gm! “Rituals of Time” just opened @LoadGallery in Barcelona. For this group show, I made ‘Nkechi’ (2025), a prophetic work that captures the crucial moment in our society today: the aggressive race to integrate robots into the human society.

Echoing the Mbari tradition of the Owerri-Igbo communities of southeastern Nigeria, the exhibition takes shape as a threshold where past, present and future converge.

GM! 'falls' is a static scene of a waterfall composed of dermis, over time collapsing and reconstructing with the appearance of the full moon. For a moment, an auntie and her leg emerge in the falls, only to disappear, leaving behind her laughter, akin to glimpsing a creature darting by in nature. GM! "cycles" portrays an auntie continuously cycling, moving endlessly through changing seasons of a slice of the Auntieverse. It is unclear where exactly she is, except the ground she is pedalling is filled with dermis, flowers and crystals. Occasionally, goats accompany her journey. A bonsai plant emerges, the moon sets and the sun rises.
