Ebola
HIV
Sars 1
MERS
Measles
Smallpox
The current lineages of sars2 are at least as pathogenic as wild type. We had a spike on pathogenicity with the delta variant which deluded these people into thinking omicron is mild.
Infections today are mild. Infections years ago were deadly or caused life long increased . We made it through and it’s not endemic and mutated to be less deadly as viruses do
