ALT An illustration resembles a microscopic view of red blood cell. On top is text that reads: 'Best way to donate. Discover which donation is ideal for your blood type'.
ALT Text reads: "O+ is the most common blood type, with around 36% of our blood donors having it. It is the most requested blood by hospitals.
"Because of how common O+ blood is, we also encourage donors to give plasma if they can."
At the bottom in highlighted colours, it says: 'We need O+ BLOOD & PLASMA."
ALT Text reads: " O- blood is often called the ‘universal blood type’ because anybody can safely receive it.
“This makes it important in emergencies or when a patient’s blood type is unknown. Because of this, we really need O- donors to give blood.”
At the bottom in highlighted colours, it says: 'We need O- BLOOD."
ALT Text reads: "A+ is the second most common blood type, and accounts for the most hospital requests for platelets.
"We also encourage donors to give plasma if they can. This makes A+ unique in being ideal for all donations."
