A federal jury in Fort Worth convicted Texas counselor Kevin D. Curry, 64, for his role in a $26 million TRICARE fraud, kickback and money laundering scheme. Prosecutors said Curry billed TRICARE for medically unnecessary or nonexistent TMS therapy, paid more than $5.5 million in kickbacks, fabricated medical records and used doctors’ credentials without their consent. TRICARE paid approximately $17 million on the fraudulent claims. Curry allegedly spent proceeds on hotels, a lavish casino-themed party and a gold-plated Tesla Cybertruck worth more than $100,000.
