Let's discuss luck a little bit. I consider myself, extremely lucky but luck is something you can create, and generate.
There's several kinds of luck. There is luck from pure chance, where you did nothing to cause it. You were truly in the right place at the right time. This is the only one you can't control.
There is luck from motion, which come from opportunities you create by doing things. investing, trading, starting a business, meeting people, building things. Most of the time, it goes nowhere but you expose yourself to a larger surface area of luck which means more chances for something unexpected in a good way to happen.
Luck from awareness. An opportunity presents itself for thousands of people to see. But you are one of the people capable of seeing it. This comes from years of experience that train you to see things most people overlook. This imo happens constantly in investing where the information and opportunity are public and you're able to recognize the significance of it. So the luck isnt finding the information instead its simply recognizing it.
Then the last is luck unique to you. you have developed relationships, skills, or a unique brand. Someone like threadguy comes to mind here. You became the type of person or a person that lucky events can happen to.
So you have the ability to create 2-4, 1 is just by chance. But there is a saying that luck is the residue of hardwork. So essentially, lucky people just expose themselves to it more. The people who succeed at the end of the day are the people who take chances. It doesnt mean they are guaranteed to succeed bc most people wont. but you certainly increase the odds of it
