Chicago Bears Game Breakdown
3 Things we learned about the Bears
1. Case Keenum should start the next game and until Caleb Williams comes back if he stays hot.
In his 67th start, he looked like just what the Bears needed. Composed, making throws in tight windows with free runners in the pocket routinely. He consistently made the right decision, the right throw at the right time.
2. Ben Johnson is a QBs dream.
The offense struggled with its starter Caleb Williams last week, but Ben Johnson didn’t just sit on his hands and say they need to execute better.
He dove deeper into his game plan bag to find creative ways to get his best players the ball, keep the QB high percentage in the passing game and do it all off Play-action early and late because everyone expected them to run the ball much more with their starter out.
3. The Chicago Bears defense is is showing that it may no longer be a liability. Holding the Vikings and the Eagles to 5-22 on 3rd down and 16 points combined.
After giving up 37 in week 1, they are getting after the QB (5 sacks) and creating turnover opportunities (3 against the Eagles).
