A heads-up for job seekers and for our community ⚠️
Some fake LinkedIn profiles are currently impersonating Sbarter employees, recruiters and even board members.
These bad actors are reaching out to people with fraudulent job offers and highly detailed, fabricated hiring documents (often referencing a project called "Clancore" and listing various high-paying Web3 roles). Please be advised: these individuals do not represent Sbarter, and these job offers are 100% fake.
Here's how to tell a real Sbarter job opportunity from a fake one:
👉 Official channels only. Every genuine role is posted on our official channels, the LinkedIn page, our X account (
@SbarterOfficial), and our website. Team members sometimes share openings from their own accounts, but a real role will always trace back to our official channels. If it doesn't, treat it with suspicion.
👉 Email. Real messages from us only ever come from an
sbarter.com address. We don't run hiring through Telegram, Discord or personal Gmail.
👉 No money, ever. We will never ask you to pay for equipment, send funds, or connect a crypto wallet as part of interviewing or onboarding. Anyone who does is not us.
Not sure whether someone actually works at Sbarter? Our website lists our team, with links to each person's real profile. It's the quickest way to verify you're talking to the genuine person and not someone impersonating them. Be aware that some fake accounts may copy our names and even our profile pictures, so always use the links on our website.
If one of these accounts contacts you, don't click any links, don't open their files, and don't share personal details. Report the profile to LinkedIn, and feel free to flag it to us too so we can chase it down.
Thanks to everyone who spotted this and told us. Look out for each other out there.
