Anything anyone will tell you in the comments, is going to be a lie. There’s no way exact way to balance it, well except you’re jobless and even with that, for some reason known to the universe, you won’t still have the time to build that brand or finish that portfolio.
Being your own client is actually the hardest part of being a creative. 😭
You’ll show up for everybody else’s vision, meet deadlines, deliver the work… then somehow your own plans are still sitting in your notes app.
Please tell me I’m not the only one struggling with this. How are you balancing client work with building your own brand? What’s actually working for you? 🥹

I don’t think people talk enough about the loneliness of having to figure everything out yourself.
You can have friends, a partner, family, people who love you, and still feel alone.
Because at some point, you’re still the one who has to make the difficult decisions. You’re the one who has to figure out your finances, your career, your future, your mistakes, and what to do when life doesn’t turn out the way you imagined.
You can’t always explain what you’re going through. Sometimes, you don’t even understand it yourself.
And the hardest part? You still have to wake up the next morning and carry on like everything is fine.
