Geoconfirmed - 07 OCT 2023 "Hamas wanted to capture soldiers & exchange them for Palestinian prisoners." This is NOT TRUE, based on the footage documenting the massacre that day. Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades (Hamas) and affiliated terrorist organisations like Al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades (using the European Union’s naming convention) not only killed IDF soldiers when they encountered them; they also killed many civilians on sight. GeoConfirmed volunteers have geolocated more than 500 separate pieces of footage related to the 7 October attacks. In several cases, it was also possible to identify the specific terrorist organisation, using the European Union’s naming convention, responsible for the killings. We have created a dedicated map displaying only the horrific events that took place that day: geoconfirmed.org/map/7oct Several examples are provided below. All of these videos have been geolocated and are available on our map.
Setting aside how much bad faith & willful ignorance is in this Q - Hamas wanted to capture soldiers & exchange them for Palestinian prisoners. A standard practice in armed conflict and how nearly all prisoner exchanges to release Palestinians have been accomplished.

You can tell how little leftists care about democracy by how they keep conditioning it to whatever their omnicause is at any given moment. 2017: "A party that doesn't protect undocumented immigrants cannot be trusted to defend democracy" 2018: "A party that doesn't stand up for women and say #MeToo cannot be trusted to defend democracy 2019: "A party that doesn't defund the police and end the racist criminal justice system cannot be trusted to defend democracy" 2020: "A party that doesn't stand up for the disabled and demand indefinite COVID protocols cannot be trusted to defend democracy 2021: "A party that won't recognize the student loan crisis and forgive student loans cannot be trusted to defend democracy" 2022: "A party that doesn't stand up for trans people in sports cannot be trusted to defend democracy" 2024: "A party that doesn't stand up and fight to end the genocide in Gaza cannot be trusted to defend democracy"
"A Democratic Party that doesn't stop Israel's war on Gaza is never going to be strong enough to defend democracy" is probably one of the top 5 dumbest non-sequiturs the left has ever come up with. The two have nothing to do with each other, and to the extent you can connect the two at all, you are asking Democrats to intervene on the side of an ideology that openly hates democracy.

Adam Mockler asks Hasan if he regrets not endorsing Kamala in 2024 "People were yelling at Tom Morello earlier as well..he didn't even vote for Kamala..no, as far as not endorsing..I don't think my endorsement of Kamala Harris would have changed the needle all that much..I still stand by my decision..I told people not to vote for Donald Trump obviously or Jill Stein" "It's understandable to draw a red line around gen*cide and the continuation of it..especially bc a Democratic Party that was willing to continue the wholesale sl*ughter of children was not going to be adept at defending democracy anyway..they kind of proved that in the aftermath of the Trump victory" (Via Slate)

It's remarkable that a woman can complain about free speech in Britain while supporting execution for blasphemy in Saudi Arabia. This might be one of those paradox of tolerance situations.

105 people were killed in Gaza last month. 70 of them were militants. People are calling this an ongoing genocide. This is less than a bad month in Chicago. For example, in July 2021, 112 people were murdered in the city. Does it mean Chicago is an ongoing genocide?

I believe that the Palestine Solidarity Campaign were prepared, knew the massacre was happening, and were ready to go.
October 7th, 12:50pm. The Palestine Solidarity Campaign contacts the Metropolitan Police to request a national march against Israel. This is documented via a Freedom of Information request obtained by the Jewish Chronicle. Hamas militants are still actively killing at this moment. Israel has not declared war. It has not conducted a single retaliatory strike. It has not entered Gaza.

George, the timeline answers your question more powerfully than any placard order date could. October 7th, 6:30am. Hamas launches its attack. 1,200 people murdered. 251 taken hostage. The Nova music festival massacre is still ongoing. Families are still being dragged from their homes. October 9th. The first march takes place. Hundreds march through Kensington High Street outside the Israeli embassy. Placards ready. Slogans ready. Infrastructure deployed. October 13th. Six days after the attack and four days after the first march, Israel drops evacuation leaflets over Gaza City warning over one million civilians to move south before any military operation begins. Hamas instructs residents to ignore the warnings and stay put. October 27th. Twenty days after the Hamas attack and two weeks after the evacuation leaflets, Israel launches its full scale ground invasion of Gaza. Now look at the placards. The Palestine Solidarity Campaign organised the October 9th march. Their name is on every placard. They were the organisation that made the 12:50pm call on October 7th. Professional branded placards in those quantities require a minimum of 48 to 72 hours for commercial printing, artwork sign off, scheduling and delivery. The march was two days after the call. The order was almost certainly placed before the attack began. That is a logical inference from the logistics. The 12:50pm call is documented fact. The protests were not a reaction to Israeli military action. They were ready and deployed before Israel had taken a single military step inside Gaza. The genocide placards were printed before the military operation being called a genocide had begun. The infrastructure of protest, the slogans, the networks, the funding, was built long before October 7th and October 7th was the trigger it was waiting for.

I am confused by the term "ongoing genocide in Palestine." Only a few people are killed each day, mostly militants. There is no famine. No one is being displaced. What makes the current situation an "ongoing" genocide? What should change for it to stop being a genocide?

Let's be so honest: It is actually specifically code for "Kamala didnt say she would facilitate the dissolution of Israel if elected" She could've held every other fringe left policy & personally sent Liz Cheney to Gitmo, and they'd still have sabotaged 2024 over the omnicause
The fact that "Harris did not do enough to earn votes" is almost always shorthand for "Harris did not adopt my policy preferences" should encourage some self-reflection.
