Sometimes not getting the job is actually a blessing in disguise...
Because she actually got the job.
She would have been working 9 hours a day, 6 days a week, for around 721 MAD a month, which is roughly $74/month.
Thatโs about 3.1 MAD an hour, or $0.32 an hour.
And she was already beating herself up, thinking she wasn't good enough because the listing went back up.
Sometimes we get so desperate to be chosen that we forget to ask whether what we're being chosen for is actually worth it.
Maybe the rejection youโre crying over today is the thing youโll be grateful for tomorrow.
A friend of mine saw a job listing, applied, and got invited for an interview.
She applied on Friday, and by Monday she had the interview. Shortly after she received the interview invitation, the job listing was taken down.
Itโs now been a few days since the interview. She hasnโt received either a rejection or an offer, but the job listing has now been put back up.
Sheโs understandably not feeling great about it and thinks it means she didnโt get the job. I told her not to be too hard on herself, to wait for proper feedback, and to keep applying elsewhere in the meantime.
What do you guys think?
