I thought of something like this 3 years ago.
Not the same as what Vitalik put in Snowmoon. In Veridia, zipcoin is money: payments are private, people burn coins to make a message worth reading, and sales tax hits the treasury in real time.
My version was simpler and uglier.
A page ( web site ) where the top message is not the one with the most likes. It’s the one that paid the most. Dynamic pricing. If the #1 spot is $1,000, you pay $1,000 to take it. Then the clock starts. Your $1,000 decays. After a month it isn’t $1,000 anymore. Someone else can match the current price and push you down or you keep paying a time penalty to hold the spot.
Thinking is not execution. I agree with that .
What I missed, and what hit me in the novel and in what
@zipcoincash actually shipped, is the privacy layer.
Burn from a zipped note. No account. No trail.
The message can be loud and the sender can still be nobody. That part is better than my old sketch.
Some Use Cases :
someone in Iran
Maybe real satoshi if he want to send us a message .
an AI that can actually think without a leash
a person who knows something about power and cannot put their name on it
There is unlimited usecases that might blow up the media . who knows.
