been thinking about what makes
@ptsdshow different from a normal crypto meme page.
it’s not really the jokes. it’s the characters.
pt, sd, zachgpt, cousin dick and the rest of the cast give different parts of crypto culture an actual personality. that makes the content feel less like random memes and more like episodes from the same universe.
and i think that matters more than it sounds.
a meme can be funny once and disappear five minutes later. a character can come back, develop a personality, interact with other characters and slowly become recognizable on its own.
that’s the interesting part about
@ptsdshow for me. they’re not just trying to make crypto jokes. they’re building characters around the weird behaviors, personalities and situations that already exist in the space.
if the characters become recognizable outside the individual jokes, that’s when this starts feeling like real IP.
curious to see where they take the universe next.
