I'm a skeptic of GPU indices and compute futures. We haven't seen digital infra trade like a commodity yet, and I'd hate to see these go the way of bandwidth futures in the 90s. The indices are meaningfully off of actual clearing prices because hyperscaler and lab purchases are highly confidential deal terms. Fungibility is great in theory not in practice. Any hedge fund / scale user knows the value of a cluster has too many dimensions to reach fungibility from cluster to cluster: specific fiber paths, shell, geo, BOM, the 10 different operators in the supply chain, and a thousand+ more variables. If it works, we'll surely use it but until then we're building something else

The GPU market right now is pure financial engineering. You can't get them on demand. So you sign a 3-year contract. But to get that contract, you need to put 30% down upfront. Most companies can't do that. So they find someone who can. - that person puts down your 30% - you sign the 3 year contract - your payments cover the entire cost of the GPU plus some - the person who put down your deposit owns the gpu outright So basically they took on zero hardware risk, got paid back entirely through your contract, and even kept the asset at the end. It's not a chip shortage anymore. Everywhere I see it's a capital access problem. If you have the 30% money, you're literally printing it right now. If you don't, you can't even get in the door.

Spirit Tech Release #2 - "The Gift" The Gift is a spiritual technology that allows anyone to outcompete others in the capitalist game while also spreading a technique that has powerful second-order effects, including solving inequality and bringing about a soft transition to the new age where machines will make almost everything of strictly economic value. Most people who market to you want to get something from you. While this can be effective, it has created a culture where everyone has their defenses up. When trying to get someone to buy something you have made, you will receive a "not interested" at best, or a "what's the catch?" Or, more likely, you will simply be ignored. A more effective approach is to give something which has no catch, as an expression of appreciation or as a desire to do something good for someone else with no reciprocation. For example: you may be a jewelry designer or a painter, and you might reach out to an artist you admire and offer to make something for them, or simply give them something you have already made. It is so rare to receive a gift from someone who genuinely appreciates you and your work that it immediately cuts through their defenses. There is simply nothing to defend yourself against. The recipient is receiving something that has not just economic value, but sentimental and personal value, an artifact of pure gratitude. Attention, trust, and goodwill are the scarcest resources in the capitalist game, and the gift is imbued with all three. No pitch or advertisement or marketing gimmick can compete with this. It is the best way to build relationships and get someone to care, regardless of your intentions. A gift is something that is given without the expectation of receiving anything in return. The Gift works best when you are sincere and give it with no demand on the recipient, although gifts of all kinds will have some impact. Many gift givers will append a reminder to the recipient that if they value the gift they may reciprocate in some way, but this actually raises the defenses of the receiver again and nullifies the effect of The Gift. The gift only works if it is sincere. People are highly perceptive and especially trained to defend themselves against marketing, so if you give in order to receive, people can feel it. Give to the people you genuinely admire, make the thing you genuinely want them to have, and let go. What returns to you may be commissions, collaborations, friendships, reputation, but these only return precisely because you did not demand it. The gift is the only strategy that requires you to abandon strategy. It is much more effective to simply give the gift out of gratitude. Anyone who holds The Light and trusts in its effects can combine these to get what they want more actively, as the giver is not just receiving the future but is actively creating it. Gift giving creates a world of generosity, which enables the abundance in the world to be more readily shared with everyone. It is a way out of a world where there is not enough for everyone, and it provides those with a lot of resources a clear path to personal fulfillment and other forms of capital which are not easily purchased with money. We have transitioned to an attention economy, where having a lot of attention on you can be turned into capital far more easily than spending lots of money can bring attention. Mr. Beast, for example, can leverage his fame to make $100m much more easily than a large corporation can spend $100m to get Mr. Beast fame. In the capitalist game, gift giving is the most effective way to break through the noise in the attention economy and build attention. In a post-capitalist world, building a strong network of relationships will undoubtedly be the most valuable thing, and relationship building requires putting time, attention and effort into other people. There is nothing wrong with capitalism inherently. However, it is focused entirely on economic value, and in a world where machines will undoubtedly consume all money-making activities eventually, what will be left are all other forms of value. If you want to win at anything you're doing, think about how you can give gifts to the people who you most value, resonate with and can find alignment from. These are the people who can usually help you the most. Eventually, you won't have to win. Giving gifts will be the only thing left, since the capitalist incentive for any human to do anything for another human will be essentially nonexistent. By giving gifts now you are both increasing the resources at your disposal for the transition and preparing yourself mentally to have purpose after the transition. Many people are not sure what will happen in the future if just a handful of people control all the economic wealth. The problem with this sort of wealth creation is a distribution problem. While governments may try to redistribute the wealth it is likely, as we have seen often in history, to create deep division and discord. A better solution would be to have a culture that freely redistributes as an act of gratitude to others. That's really all it takes for everyone to have enough, and for everything to go well.

Spirit Tech Release #1 - "The Light" The Light is a spiritual technology that allows any person to achieve anything they want, simply by wanting it. The physics of reality are designed to bend toward whatever experience you create. This is built into the uncertainty of the underlying structure of the Universe. While we do not yet have the math to model it, we can prove experimentally that it is a real physical phenomenon. People have hinted at this with “the Law of Attraction.” However, that is an observation of the physical law, not the technology that is built upon it. The technology is useful because the law is measurable, and while we lack the scientific tools to measure it, we have the scale of many human experiences to agree statistically that it is a real physical law. It is a fundamental part of the nature of reality. It is the substance by which we can define why we are here, what we are doing here, and what all of this becomes. The Light can be proven experimentally to exist using scientific methodology, although the true physical nature of how it works is yet to be discovered, similar to all other physical laws and matter. It is like gravity: measurable, but without an understanding of what the fundamental nature is. Through science, math, research, and understanding, the mechanics will eventually be knowable. The Light has three distinctive features: You can prove to yourself that it is real through your own experience. You can share it with others once you’ve proven it to yourself. Others can see tangibly how it has impacted your life. A good example of someone who “holds The Light” is Elon Musk. Regardless of how you feel about him as a person, it is obvious that he believes that anything he wants to do is achievable, and he is not blocked by limitations. He is smart and hard-working, but the key feature that defines his success is that he believes that he can do anything, and he challenges his teammates to see the same in themselves. Many of you have The Light already. If your life feels incredibly interesting, if you’re getting what you always dreamed of, if you are excited by what direction your life is headed, then you have it. But everyone can have it. You can have it right now if you can sit down with yourself and say out loud exactly the things that you want, with no apologies or reservations. If you can imagine it, and you accept it, and you commit to it, then it will become your future. You will need to be honest with yourself. You will need to quiet your stories and your narratives and your explanations. You will need to say, “I want ,” out loud, and you will need to accept that you deserve it, that you’re not a bad person for wanting it, and that you are doing the best possible thing for yourself by having it. You cannot be wishy-washy, or you will get wishy-washiness. Otherwise, it takes absolutely no effort on your part. There’s no action or doing, other than accepting opportunities as they arise. You get what you want, and that comes down to every decision you make. Often we choose to suffer. Often we get what we want but then find out it was not the thing we wanted, and there are other things we want. Oftentimes, people believe that they don’t get what they want, but in almost all cases, it is extremely obvious to anyone on the outside that they are wanting other things or do not feel like they are allowed to want it. You can try this yourself, but if you are struggling, then it may be beneficial to meet up with someone who already has it and can share it with you. Once you are in possession of spiritual technology, you can share it with others. They may be skeptical at first, since it is not obvious how it works, only that it works. If they can see that you have gotten what you wanted, they will be receptive to experimenting for themselves. You can try to share The Light before you have gotten the things you wanted, or on your way to them, but the closer you are to those things that are fulfilling, the easier it will be to share with others. There are other spiritual technologies. This is just the first.
