Opening day of deer season & turkey is today & it's windy w/ rain. I decided to head out anyway and the closer I got to the farm the harder it was raining so I decided it's a long season & I still have 3 months to hunt so turned around and came home!! Try again tomorrow!! 🦌🦃🐻

Been hunting this farm for about 22 years and this location has never changed. I've seen more animals here than any other location on this farm. Very quiet and relaxing back under the cedars.
Deer & turkey season opens Oct.1.

Captured a couple of pictures today of a loon feeding her baby. They stayed around our boat for close to 90 min's. Mom & Dad dove and fed the 2 youngsters non-stop and it was very enjoyable. At one point 1 of the loons swam over to about 8 ft from the boat. Great day on the lake!

Absolutely beautiful day for a walk at the farm. It was a tad warm (35 celsius, 95 fahrenheit) but so good for the mind & body. The fresh air, the smells, the songbirds make it all worth dealing with the heat. This farm is a special place. Literally blessed to have access to it!

Block out the news & all of the outside noise & just enjoy the simple things in life! Tonight I am sitting here by the fire with a beer & realizing that I am a very lucky dad & husband! 🍻

Beautiful day on the lake. Water was really high & stained from all the heavy rain we have had lately but it was a tough day all around. Could not even find a few hammer handle pike for my son's friend who has never seen nor caught a pike and I tried every trick in the book 🤷♂️🎣

We both landed our first gar, lost several others & we saw over 50 with some true monsters. Trip of a lifetime for my son which is all that matters to me! Jamie is a helluva guide🎣

Current situation, chasing ghosts. 👻 The long cold winter we had with so much snow + an abundance of coyotes has really hit the turkey population hard. This is by far the latest I have ever hunted turkeys in the spring without filling a tag. This may be my last hunt! 🦃 🦃
