A significant portion of BBC footage and reporting from the area comes from Al Jazeera teams or partner organizations connected to its network because Qatar’s media outlets controls most of the working cameras and correspondents inside Gaza. This directly influences what material and narratives reach Western audiences via BBC channels. There is also a lot of staffing shifts between Al Jazeera and the BBC’s global divisions, particularly BBC World and BBC Arabic. As personnel move between these organizations, they carry shared assumptions and perspectives, resulting in common points of view reflected in news that is produced.
