When you adjust #BITCOIN price for inflation of the fast and ever-growing M1 money supply, #BTC is no where near the previous peak of 2017 or even close to the $11k pump June 19. If BTC is an inflation hedge, we have a lot of room to the upside ahead. 🚀

Why is it useful to compare against M1? M1 isn’t chasing goods and services. Should be M2, no?

You can look at both but M1 is physical money, M2 includes lots of other accounts including less liquid money like mutual funds etc

But is it a deflation hedge? Is it correlated with financial instruments or not?

The better question is "will it hold purchasing power" and time will tell

You make a good point. We may have peaked in dollar terms, but where are we in Gold denominated terms I wonder?

If it was an inflation hedge gold, silver and a host of commodities would be up massively. No Bitcoin is on its own little mission and soon you lot will be able to buy the entire world’s assets by being the geniuses who thought to invest in something worth absolutely nothing.

Damn that's how much inflation there has been since 2017? Or is it just abitrarily dividing M1 by BTC price ? Interesting data but is that how to calculate inflation properly ? Honest question

The presentation of this data doesn't seem to be right. Perhaps using a ratio of BTCUSD/M1 will be a better way to display this information
