I was drowning, but I had time. 😂
UPDATE:
$META — $25,000 SWING
This was my post earlier this week. The pullback I was looking for came.
I was holding 32
$META $775 PUTS expiring 10/2 and sold them today at a $28.13 average. I’m still holding my 10/16 $800 PUTS.
I purposely bought more time than I thought I needed. I could be right on direction and wrong on timing, and I didn’t want expiration making that decision for me.
And if I lost, I probably wouldn’t be making this update. 😂
In all honesty, I didn’t post the put buys either. I was playing with about 25% of my winnings from my
$META run starting around $580, and I didn’t want to pass that kind of risk onto anyone following my trades.
I knew the key market-maker/options level was around $750, which gave me more confidence in the pullback.
My original thesis was that I’d start looking long again around $730.
That part has changed.
$META showed its hand with Muse.
Now I expect competitors to answer.
Microsoft already came out with its own major Copilot announcement today. Who’s next? Google? OpenAI? Amazon? xAI?
We could see a different player every week release something that competes with, improves on, or changes the narrative around Muse.
I’m now looking at much lower PUT strikes, including $680, and I’ll continue buying time because I don’t need to be right tomorrow.
I need to be right on the move.
$META showed its hand.
Now I want to see everyone else’s. 🎩
Timing is everything.

$META — Too Much, Too Fast.
After an amazing run and a great exit for me, I’m now watching the 9/28 puts.
The tricky part is figuring out how much higher META can run into Meta Connect on September 23–24 and Zuckerberg’s keynote. I don’t know. A lot of the expected news may already be baked in.
META often runs into this event before profit-taking begins and attention turns toward earnings. I believe profits will be taken—the question is when.
The $760/$780 puts may come into play. Ideally, I’d like to see a pullback toward $730, where I can start building a long position again for the run into earnings.
Longer term, I still believe $820 is in the cards.
Timing is everything.
