If I were Michael Jordan and Denny Hamlin, I’d seriously consider a change in the No. 23 and make a run at Brad Keselowski for 2027.
Bubba Wallace deserves credit for making history with 23XI. He delivered the team’s first Cup Series win at Talladega in 2021, has three Cup victories, and won the 2025 Brickyard 400. He’s also a six-time Truck Series winner. Those are real accomplishments.
But Keselowski brings a different résumé: the 2012 Cup Series championship, 36 Cup wins, a 2010 Xfinity Series championship, and victories in major races including the Coca-Cola 600, Brickyard 400, and Southern 500. RFK Racing has announced he’ll leave after the 2026 season, and he says he isn’t ready to stop driving.
This wouldn’t erase what Bubba has achieved. It would be a move to put a proven champion, experienced leader, and race winner in the No. 23. If 23XI’s goal is to compete for championships, Brad Keselowski deserves a serious look.
