Watching Benjamin Crump eat a snack during a serious interview about Nolan Wells struck me as unprofessional and distracting. More importantly, I question the decision to bring him in as a spokesperson for this case.
From what has been publicly reported, there has been no evidence presented that Nolan’s disappearance and death were racially motivated. Because of that, I think that introducing racial narratives before the facts support them could distract from the central question: what actually happened to Nolan Wells?
Nolan appeared to have friends from different backgrounds, and I believe the focus should remain on finding answers and establishing the truth based on evidence rather than turning the case into a broader social or political cause.
The family has every right to choose their legal team and advocates, but I think this approach risks taking attention away from the facts of the case. As for the interview itself, seeing a spokesperson eating on camera during such a serious discussion did not inspire confidence.
