Saturday night Stacy story:
When I was 20, I was 6 months pregnant with my second daughter, and my oldest was 1.
My little brother was 9, and he came and stayed the night with us. My husband left to go to his parents and work on a vehicle.
We lived out in the country, about 7 miles from his parent’s house, and we only had one vehicle, and no phone.
He left with our vehicle.
Then, I noticed a wasp in our trailer. I was young and scared, so I did what any rational person would do. I packed up a diaper bag, and told my 9yr old brother that we were going to walk to my in-laws house (in July, 90 degrees), 7 miles on gravel roads.
I put my daughter in her stroller, and off we went!
It took us several hours, but we finally made it. But, nobody was home and the doors were locked.
We were 10 miles from town, so we just waited. I prayed someone would show up, because we were hot, dehydrated, hungry and tired.
After a couple hours, my in-laws came home and were shocked we were there.
Needless to say, it was a really bad decision, but we survived!🤷♀️
We’ll never forget it!
