🇸🇩 🇸🇪 Swedish pop star Zara Larsson indicates she may not perform in Abu Dhabi on December 3 after a fan urged her to cancel over the UAE's backing of the mass killing and mass raping Rapid Support Forces militia in Sudan.
Larsson was booked for the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix concerts. "Please read about what UAE is doing to Sudan then cancel your Abu Dhabi show," a fan wrote on Instagram. Larsson replied, "I will not be going to Abu Dhabi." Both comments were later deleted, and no formal cancellation has yet been announced.
Reuters reported on September 11 that the race itself may be moved over regional security concerns.
UN experts, mainstream media organizations like WSJ, NYT, and FT, Amnesty International, and Human Rights Watch have documented Emirati support or weapons transfers to the RSF; Sudan filed a genocide complicity case against it last year. The US, however, has refused to name the UAE when discussing the war, or hold it accountable for over three years of genocide in Sudan.

"Vandalism like this is not funny, it’s diabolical."
A statue and memorial honoring Charlie Kirk outside Turning Point USA's Phoenix headquarters are vandalized just three days after the statue was unveiled to mark one-year since his assassination.
Bright red paint is smeared across the eight-foot statue, while a memorial featuring Kirk's photo and a Christian message referencing Jesus is also defaced.
"They think spray paint can obscure his legacy, but it will only spread it further," Erika Kirk writes in response to the vandalism.
Turning Point USA says it will restore the statue and replace the signs while working with law enforcement to identify those responsible.
