I’m seeing HOF brought up alot on the TL. I’m trying to enjoy my vacation but let me speak on this for a moment. What league is harder to win? This is a nuanced discussion that I’m not sure everyone has the attention span to entertain. It’s case by case. The BYOT teams will ALWAYS be more skilled; State Mafia/Liquid, Wizards DG, The Cabin, Black Market etc. These teams would beat a draft league champion 10/10 times. No disrespect to any league or draft league champion. You think I’m wrong let’s put some bread up. Is it harder for a draft league team to win in a draft league? Depending on the matchups team vs team it’s possible sure. That being said I don’t think every draft league champion has worked harder than every BYOT champion to reach their goal. I see BYOT teams grab players they’ve never played with in crucial PLAYOFF games as emergency subs. Most draft league teams are forced to play a minimum of 20-30 season games together. in this scenario what’s more challenging. Playing with someone with $2-5k on the line you’ve never ran with, or playing for a smaller pot with someone you’ve played 20-30 games with. Let’s go back a few years, what if there was 5-10k on the line? Does prize pool not affect the level of adversity champions face? I’m genuinely curious what the players think that have played for real money and used subs along the way and played in draft leagues the last year and half.
