The founding fathers used a ram rod to pack powder into the barrel. I'm all for you having any type of gun you like or even a Tank but that isn't the reason we have a 2nd amendment.

Actually, preserving liberty was precisely the intent of the 2nd Amendment.
Noah Webster-
“Before a standing army can rule, the people must be disarmed; as they are in almost every kingdom of Europe. The supreme power in America cannot enforce unjust laws by the sword; because the whole body of the people are armed, and constitute a force superior to any band of regular troops.”
Thomas Jefferson-
“What country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms."
Patrick Henry-
“Guard with jealous attention the public liberty. Suspect everyone who approaches that jewel. Unfortunately, nothing will preserve it but downright force. Whenever you give up that force, you are ruined. … The great object is that every man be armed. Everyone who is able may have a gun.”
Richard Henry Lee-
“To preserve liberty, it is essential that the whole body of the people always possess arms, and be taught alike, especially when young, how to use them.” A militia “properly formed” is “in fact the people themselves.”
Alexander Hamilton-
If representatives betray the people, “there is then no resource left but in the exertion of that original right of self-defense which is paramount to all positive forms of government.”
George Mason-
“To disarm the people … [is] the most effectual way to enslave them.”
Tench Coxe-
“Who are the militia? Are they not ourselves? … Congress have no power to disarm the militia. Their swords, and every other terrible implement of the soldier, are the birthright of an American...As civil rulers, not having their duty to the people duly before them, may attempt to tyrannize, and as the military forces which must be occasionally raised to defend our country, might pervert their power to the injury of their fellow citizens, the people are confirmed by the article in their right to keep and bear their private arms.”

You are talking about a raising your kids to know how to use guns and they can fight FOR the United States if attacked. Not turning their guns on the government. The Constitution outlined ways for the people to make changes without having to do that.

The founders viewed it's every Americans duty to defend the Blessings of Liberty from invading forces and rise of tyranny from within. They saw that a whole of the population armed would far exceed the strength of any standing army, and dissuade an inevitable rise of tyranny. They discussed historically analyzing societies and finding unarmed populations will always eventually succumb to tyranny. The 2nd Amendment was not intended for the people to turn on the government, rather to defend freedom should a centralized power turn on the governing framework. America is the collective body of the people upholding the governing framework that is the Constitution. The Constitution was actually intentionally devised to makes changes difficult serving as a safeguard to prevent shortsighted changes leading to expansion of centralized power and errosion of individual liberty.

They gave us the right to bear arms to protect from foreign governments and protect ourselves in the wilderness. They gave a representative government to prevent the rot from within. No longer being able to recall Senators has kind of kneecapped that second part.

Seriously...did you read a single quote from the founders I posted of they themselves providing their intent behind the 2nd Amendment?
The core goal of the Bill of Rights itself was to place explicit limits on federal government powers in protecting natural personal freedoms. The significance of the 1st and 2nd Amendment in doing such is the very reason why they are listed as the 1st and 2nd Amendments. The founders words were that which clearly recognizing the inherent nature of man is to gain power and control. They had the foresight to view the growth of rot as inevitable, thus drafted the 2nd Amendment to prevent such rot from rising to tyrannical power. This isn't my interpretation of their intent, it's what they themselves wrote or the recorded words of what they spoke.

I did, I have limited space to reply. You are misreading them if you feel it was to protect from the Gov. The founders did not "rank" rights as to importance. You are looking at it through a lens from 250 years later. I see your point. But they outlined a process for change.

While I acknowledge how the wording of the 2nd Amendment can be misconstrued. It's impossible to take the collective words of the founder without intent.
The lens from 250 years ago applies just as well today just as the historical societies the founders referenced for strengths and weakness when drafting the Constitution. How did millions of people in Iran unite and rise to protest tyranny only end with 20,000 of them slaughtered? How was Mao able to have tens of millions of Chinese executed after the communist takeover? Tyranny by the minority over the majority is only possible when the majority is disarmed.
If an Amendment were to become obsolete, the founders created ratification process required to repeal or change. As with all laws, unless changed through the established process, they are to be interpreted as they were written.

Every one of the Founders was a rebel that fought their own government.
They didn't establish a new government that should be protected if it became tyrannical.
The 2A is for defending life and liberties from all sources. This was widely understood until the mid-20th century.
