β€œMankind” 😝🀣🀣🀣 Oh Winston, you’re the one who’s β€œsloppy” with your archaic gendered language. It’s 2026, mate. Get with the programme πŸ˜‰
Hannah. The purpose of science is to serve mankind. You seem to regard science as some kind of dodge ... or hustle. Your theories are the worst kind of popular tripe, your methods are sloppy, and your conclusions are highly questionable! You are a poor scientist, Hannah.

Oh Martin. You just don’t get it do you? 🫣 Everything is β€œideology” when it challenges your own MALE beliefs eh? πŸ˜΅β€πŸ’«

Oh, go to hell @bbc. The history of science is one of incremental improvement in our understanding of our universe. The vast majority of those improvements are due to men. You can argue about why, but the fact itself is indisputable. And we should teach facts, not ideology.

Men’s dominance in the historical record is not *proof* that scientific progress was overwhelmingly the product of men’s innate abilities. Know your history… Women were *systematically* excluded from universities, scientific societies, funding and professional recognition.

That’s called the #patriarchy Women’s contributions were also often overlooked or credited to men 🫣 You’re confusing your beloved β€œfacts” with male superiority. Teaching β€œfacts” means teaching this FULL history that you don’t want to look at, mate πŸ‘€

The male default position has been so systemically embedded in science that I’m surprised this is even flagged actually. Keep shining a light on systemic patriarchy. And let’s have male researchers doing this too please πŸ™

Fear is not the best teacher. At least she could have taken him in her arms and gently introduced him to the water, building his water confidence. This is NOT recommended. I tell ya, children remember these disrespectful embodied moments 🫣

a woman who loves herself is an existential threat to most of our current world systems and that plays out both interpersonally and institutionally.

Oracy = β€œwoolly skills” πŸ˜΅β€πŸ’« Pray tell me, is this yet another biased edu-opinion I see? 🫣 Drama 🎭 get thee in the trash πŸ—‘οΈ
Replying to @teacherhead
I think lots of people are just really worried that any woolly skills based oracy activities that has to be embedded across the curriculum will be damaging for the academic outcomes they are actually accountable for. I think a proper substantive knowledge framework would help.

So much to say about oracy - blog pending - but my inbox flooding with very sensible people saying 'wtf is wrong with everyone'? Why are all the great champions of standards so challenged by students having a voice and learning to express it ? What kind of education is that? And if a high P8 doesn't also embed oracy as a core element - mayyybe it's not all that? Feels like toys being thrown out of the pram ... and blimey, thank god my own children had teachers who actually valued their voices.

This is Ralph Carr, the rapist. We can say it now. The suppression order never made sense in the first place. Once convicted of a serious crime, a suppression order in circumstances such as these doesn’t make sense. It only serves to protect the powerful and punish victims.
