I saw a dog walker yanking his dog off the grass (83°F) in annoyance. Asphalt can be over 40°F hotter than air. Air is 93°F, here's the street by my house, and it's not new asphalt: 135.5°F Pad-sloughing, 2nd degree burns.

Air: 93°F Concrete : 117°F Grass in the sun: 83°F Don't run or walk your dogs in the hot sun, on concrete or asphalt. I've seen too many blistered, sloughed foot pads for a lifetime, thank you. (I would get arrested if I made dog walkers stand barefoot on this asphalt.)

1/ Inflatable yard ornament repair. A thread. Signalment: Patient is a 1,400 year old male Christmas Dragon. Presenting w flaccid flesh and low Christmas spirit. Subjective: low-pressure inflation, minor rip (4cm), grumpy attitude. Normal: lights, fan.

8/ Patient sk8n coated w acrylic floor polish from inside and then slathered externally after re-energizing blower taking all electrical caution including GFCI outlet. After allowed to dry in the sun inflated, a second coat externally applied. Patient was remarkably turgid.

9/ Patient is now as buoyant and full of Christmas cheer. Self-reports feeling like a new Dragon. Mrs. Dragon came in for a skin tightening soon after. Their youngest is receiving her Spirit this year. /End Merry Christmas, from the Dragons.

2/ Objective: Functioning fan and lights, but obvious abnormal (low) turgidity (patient fully compressible). Preliminary soapy water rinse reveals porous skin, grossly porous seams, no dehiscence. Assessment: porous nylon syndrome; 4cm traumatic rent.
