CLARITY failed. Now DeFi needs to win through adoption. Build products millions of people want. Become too important to ignore. Regulation will have to catch up. The Uber path.

Unitree has - leader in quadruped robots, used widely for inspection and surveillance - dtc robots that supports oss, sold 5000+ in 2025 - handful of enterprise partnerships - profitable, FY2025 $230m, ~60% margin - highest mindshare out of chinese robot makers, great at marketing (kungfu, athletics etc.) UBTech - owns full stack with 3k patents - focused on enterprise pilot programs; BYD, Geely Auto, Honda Trading, Foxconn, Volkswagen, Dongfeng, AJIN Industrial, Siemens, Airbus, Texas Instruments, SF Express etc. - in their first dtc attempt sold out companion robot; over 13000 robots with prices between $18k - $200k - not profitable yet, FY2025 $280m, ~40% gross margins, heavily investing into r&d - CEO pissed off some people (maybe even CCP) last conference by calling factory work insufferable. - may suck at PR and marketing - high insider ownership, no sale in 2026 so far Unitree is at $66b, UBTech $6b. ive always been a sucker for catch up trades. $9880 earnings next week, loading up on this dip.

🚨 BREAKING: @UnitreeRobotics is going public on Shanghai stock exchange at a $9 billion valuation. Their IPO was oversubscribed by retail investors by 8,288 TIMES. The final lot-winning rate for retail investors: 0.018%. Meaning for every 10,000 people who tried to buy shares, fewer than 2 got any. And the offline institutional tranche? Oversubscribed 2,760 times. The numbers in its prospectus are extraordinary for a robotics company: → Revenue up more than 4x to 1.7 billion yuan in 2025 → Humanoid robots now the LARGEST business line, overtaking robot dogs → Profitable, adjusted net profit of ~600 million yuan → 40%+ of revenue from overseas markets → DeepSeek among the strategic IPO investors Founded in 2016 by Wang Xingxing with cheap robot dogs. Now one of the world's first publicly listed humanoid robot manufacturer. The US has imposed new restrictions on foreign-made humanoid and four-legged robots. Washington is tightening Chinese access to US technology and markets. US sales represented 13.3% of Unitree's revenue last year, and future models could be barred from sale there entirely. Unitree is raising $900 million to build manufacturing capacity and develop new products, while the window to sell in the world's biggest market may be closing. The humanoid robot race and the US-China tech war are now the same story. And more Chinese humanoid makers are already preparing their own IPOs right behind Unitree. China is taking humanoids public. 🇨🇳 Read more here: reuters.com/world/asia-pacif… ~~ ♻️ Join the weekly robotics newsletter, and never miss any news → ziegler.substack.com

Hot take: If $MU and $SKHY are cyclical, then so is $NVDA …or none of them are.

Everyone’s talking about RWAs lately, so here’s my take after following this space closely for over a year and why @plumenetwork makes the most sense to me right now. RWAs were never just about putting assets onchain. Anyone can tokenize a fund. Anyone can issue a tokenized T-Bill. That was never the hard part. The hard part is the infrastructure around it: - compliant distribution - nstitutional trust - global accessibility - DeFi composability And that’s exactly where Plume is positioning itself. Just in the last few months they: - secured a Bermuda Digital Asset licence alongside names like Coinbase, Kraken and Circle - became one of the most credible regulated players in the space - backed by partners managing trillions in assets This is starting to look like the early version of internet-native finance. Institutional-grade infrastructure, stablecoin rails, 24/7 access and global distribution through wallets instead of brokers.
