This is what football is about 👏
Como played their first ever Champions League home game yesterday, 119 years after the club was founded.
Demand was huge and thousands of supporters missed out, so president Mirwan Suwarso and several club directors gave up their own seats....
They gave them to fans born in 1950 or earlier - supporters who had followed Como through every division, long before nights like this ever felt possible 🥹
You can spend years playing for a club and feel deeply connected to it, but there are supporters in the stands whose relationship with that badge goes back 50, 60, even 70 years.
They’ve seen the relegations, the rebuilds and all the years when a Champions League night would have sounded ridiculous.
Players and managers come and go. Fans like these are the constant.
What a way to make sure the right people were there for history 🤝💙
